Cone & Graham, Inc. completed construction of the permanent two-lane bridge for the C-25 Reservoir and Stormwater Treatment Area (RSTA) project in St. Lucie County, Florida. Working as a subcontractor to Ryan Incorporated Southern for the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), Cone & Graham provided the bridge construction as part of the larger C-25 RSTA site development project.

The project included construction of a new permanent two-lane bridge and associated structural components in accordance with FDOT standards. Cone & Graham’s work incorporated structural concrete, reinforcing steel, precast prestressed concrete construction, bridge foundations, deck joints, traffic railings and parapets, along with the work necessary to integrate the new crossing into the surrounding reservoir infrastructure.

The bridge is an important component of the larger C-25 Reservoir and Stormwater Treatment Area project, which is part of the Indian River Lagoon-South restoration effort. The C-25 RSTA is being developed to capture, store, and treat stormwater runoff from the C-25 Basin, reducing harmful freshwater flows and nutrient pollution reaching the St. Lucie Estuary and Indian River Lagoon. The overall system includes an aboveground reservoir and stormwater treatment area designed to improve regional water storage, water quality, and ecosystem health.  

Construction of the bridge required coordination with Ryan Incorporated Southern and SFWMD within an active, large-scale water resources project. The completed structure provides permanent access across the project canal system and supports the long-term operation and maintenance of the reservoir and stormwater treatment facilities.

The successful completion of the C-25 RSTA bridge demonstrates Cone & Graham’s ability to deliver specialized bridge construction as part of larger environmental and water management projects while working collaboratively as a key subcontractor within a multi-disciplinary construction team.
